As a result of years of lived experience and my education, I have determined that my career goals are centered in social & racial justice in its many facets. I graduated with department-wide distinction in my undergraduate anthropology program and the award for excellence in advocacy and policy in my Master's program. My anthropology & social work backgrounds merged to give me the cultural sensitivity that is essential to navigating the workforce in our current sociopolitical climate. Causes that I especially wish to fight for are AAPI immigrant and refugee rights and resettlement, domestic violence/intimate partner violence, comprehensive sexual health education. My dream is to contribute to the preservation and celebration of Southeast Asian culture, particularly our foodways and immigration stories.
